Cute new blog! In case you're ever in need of an idea, one of my favorite assignments in elementary school was to create our own version of Van Gogh's Sunflowers. We were allowed to use any flower we wanted though. Simple supplies: Black construction paper, white temper paint and pastels. We dipped the chalk into the paint before drawing with it to create Van Gogh like textures. I still have it, mom framed it. Crazy how I remember all of that b/c I was in 3rd grade when I did it! I miss art classes :)
