Young People's Exhibit

I entered 3 of my student's works of art into the Young People's Art Exhibit sponsored by Oklahoma's Art Education Association, and one of my student's made this photo montage for me! Kailee is the one standing in front of the Van Gogh-esque painting.

Bagel and Cream Cheese Time

Daddy lets me have a bite of his bagel and cream cheese every time he makes one. I now know what the bag looks like when he takes it out of the freezer and get so excited. I perch on his shoulder until the last bite, when he gives me a piece of delishesness!

Snowmen Continued

I have a really hard time narrowing it down...especially when I remember to take my camera out!

I love this one's backwards hat:-)

Snowmen

We made this the week before Christmas. ( We watched Frosty the Snowman while making them.) It is a great project to get kids excited about vacation, but keeps them quiet while making some awesome artwork:-) "Snowdan the Snowman"- cute, huh?

M.C. Escher

I am moving into my next unit: Optical Illusions. One of my favorite optical illusionists is MC Escher, who is the artist of the following:

We won't be doing the typical tessalation art work like MC Escher is most famous for, we will be doing more of a grid type illusion. Results to come.

ONE YEAR???

I just realized that we went to pick up Sadie a year ago from today!

This was on our way home in the car...

Sadie right after we got home...she didn't want to leave the blanket.

Here she was being a bit more playful. Sooo tiny!

Still Snowed in...

and dreaming of Spring Break! This year Tee, Sadie, and I are headed south for Panama City. My most awesome Aunt Martha has a cottage down there that she is letting us use for the week! Sadie has seen the beach maybe two times in her life, so I am super excited to watch her reactions...and hopefully get used to the sand between her toes because come June, we will be living in Virginia Beach for two months.

So instead of cold, white snow, tonight I am imagining hot, white sand:-) I excite.
