Tag! Six things!

Okay...so I am a little slow and lazy about blogging, but I think this is a cute idea!
Brittany of (B)log. tagged me. I probably don't know enough blogs to tag anyone else, so if you want to do this. Dooooo it. 6 unimportant things that make you happy. Since my blog is about Lady Sadie and me, I will try my best to incorporate it into the theme. Here goes it.

1. taking sadie to get the mail. first off- she looooves going outside. so a short trip to the mail box is perfect, she gets a break from her boring day- I get to see how many people have rsvp'd for the wedding. All together a great trip for the both of us.

2. watching sadie bite the wind when I am driving. not safe, but very comical.

3. watching sadie drive my car. well not drive but it sure looks like it. she likes to look out all angles of the car and the windsheild is her fav. She props her front paws up on the steering wheel and truly looks like she knows where she is taking us.

4. when Sadie poops outside. it has been a challenge to potty train her, so when ever it does happen- i am ectsatic, and all my neighbors think i am crazy for going on and on with praise over her little poopy.

5. when she leaps back into bead with me after i let her out in the morning. now that i am living with the parents for the summer, she wakes up super early. so i crack my door open so my parents can take her. eventually she gets bored with them and she comes racing up the stairs and rushes into my cracked door and leaps onto my bed and licks my face until she falls asleep on my head. i just love it.

6. sadie's growl when she is excited. she never barks, but when i get her playing or chasing me she has this little puppy growl that is hysterical, and a little bit scary. but it is really funny to hear.

okay so i could probably go on about with tons of unimportant things that sadie does to make me happy, but i am not. we've got a trip outside to hopefully a successful tossy(my mom's word for her little turds).

My New Favorite Recipe

here is Lady Sadie- who also loves to chew on raw spinach and like goat cheese off the floor while I am cooking this!
Chicken Breast stuffed with Goat Cheese and Spinach

(I have adjusted the recipe to an easier/quicker version)

Serves: 4

Prep time:15 min

Cook time: 35min

3/4 bag of Spinach

4 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil

2 garlic cloves

light or regular goat cheese (as little or much as you want)

4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

sea salt and pepper to taste

Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Slice uncooked chicken breasts through the middle almost in half, but leave one side in tact. Spread goat cheese on bottom half of chicken and set aside in a oven safe dish with one table spoon of olive oil. Heat 3 tablespoons of olive oil in a frying pan on medium high heat. Mince the garlic and heat in oil until fragrant (30 seconds) stirring constantly. Add spinach and toss until wilted. Add salt and pepper to taste. Stuff chickens with spinach evenly, leaving a little to put ontop of the chicken. Close the chicken up. put left over spinach on each chicken breast and sprinkle with some goat cheese. Salt and pepper to taste, drizzle a little olive oil if you'd like and put in the oven. Cook for 35 minutes. Serve with a barley and rice mix (kashi has an amazing one) and pears! DELISH!

YAY NEW CAMERA!

Never found my old one, so for my birthday (early birthday) Tee got me a really nice one...it also goes underwater! Too bad it didn't come in two days ago when Sadie jumped in our apartment pool- she was taking a short cut to some kids on the other side and just supermanned it in. She went all of the way under and come up swimming like it was no big deal. Here are some of the first pics of Sadie Girl!

still no camera

I have been unmotivated to blog because I can not find my camera. However sadie is now 5 pounds! She went to the vet Friday and got her last round of boosters minus one lime disease vaccine booster. She is so scared of the vet now. She immediatley puts on a drama queen face as soon as we get up to a counter that resembles our vet. Example: Blockbuster. The lady checking our movie out wanted to pet her and normally Sadie would do anything for attention, but she immediatley tried to climb on top of me and glued her little stubby tail to her butt just in case anyone tried to take her temperature. Very sad. Sadie has also lost a few teeth, if she loses most of them before we move, the vet said we need to get her spayed. Which makes me sad, because she is still so young! Well that is my update...I'll try to do better.

Hello, Goodbye

I haven't been able to blog lately, mainly because I couldn't bring myself to. Penny, my Golden Retriever I have had since 5th grade passed away right after I went home for spring break. Sadie got to meet her, and thank God I have Sadie or esle I don't know if I would have made it through the past two weeks. Penny was diagnosed with cancer Thanksgiving last year, but she still acted like a puppy on snow days and played fetch- just a little bit slower. But a few days before I got home from spring break my parents warned me she had aged quickly in the past week and she was eating less and falling down more. When I got home, her face had doubled with whiteness, she was totally deaf, and still brought a smile to my face. I didn't spend to much time at home with her because of wedding planning, but I knew that every moment I did spend with her could be my last. She made it through the week, hating Sadie every minute (although I think she secretly liked her by the way she always perked up and even barked when Sadie went Beastie on her) and got to ride with me to the airport. She was the best dog and sister to me and I will always have a place for her in my heart. Many friends reached out and said the kindest words when she passed. The day my parents decided to put her down my mom took her down to the creek behind our house that she always went down to for a swim, fetch gigantic rocks, or to drink a ton of water. She was so happy to go and my mom said you could tell she wanted to stay down there and go naturally. That's when we realized if we weren't going to let her go that way we needed to help. She went very peacefully and we will spread her ashes over the creek once me and my brothers are all home. Here are a few pics of Sadie and Penny, and Penny and mine's last goodbye. I love this pic....Penny pretty much growled and barked at Sadie whenever she tried to play- I mean she 100 people years old. But Sadie really wanted to be her friend, so she sorta just backed herself in and laid down, you could tell Penny secretly liked it.

This is Penny's "are you serious about this hamster you brough home?" face.

Sadie just being curious about the big red dog.

Last picture of Penny and me. She always loved road trips:-)

A Walk at Lake Hefner

With the weather so nice we couldn't resist taking Sadie for a walk at the lake. Tee with the pooch.

Lady Sadie and Me

Walkin' on the leash like a good pup.

She wanted to meet EVERYONE!

Butter Face

Along with getting bigger, Sadie is able to reach a lot more things than she used to. So she stood on her two back legs and stuck her tongue in to a brown grocery bag and licked a whole stick of butter up. Half an hour later, it was back up. No pics, don't worry.
